The End of an Era

Yesterday we went to Jackson to have one of our favorite dinners--a gigantic Billy Burger from Billy's across from the Town Square. With great anticipation we were ready to enjoy the juicy 9 ounce beef patty with cross cut fries--a cholesterol bomb--only to find the diner closed! A Jackson tradition for way too many years was boarded up. The windows were covered with paper. The sign was down. It's a sad sad event!

We will miss Billy's very much!

Snow

Why is it, when you need a good camera all you have is an iPhone? Don't get me wrong, its a good camera, but a regular camera is better. Yesterday we took a drive to Jackson and we were treated to snow covered mountains on a gray day. It was pretty, in a subdued way, so I decided to play with a panorama app on my iPhone to capture the snowy mountains that circle our valley.

In WY

Sorry I've not written for awhile. We have been "on the road" again as we migrated back to our main home in western Wyoming. We do this every year with a question: what will await us in the Rockies? This year the answer was simple -- a little bit of snow. The house can handle the snow. (BTW under that light coat of snow a few wildflowers are blooming!)

Now we need to transfer stuff from the RV to the house and we are ready to go. It's good to be home.

Horses

We live in "horse country." Not a big deal, just a fact. We are used to seeing our neighbor horses roam in their pastures. Once in awhile I see a neighbor talk to a horse...but we never see anyone riding a horse. I always wonder why? But yesterday, on my morning walk I had a surprise. My neighbors were riding their horses. And, the horses were letting it happen!
