Of Spring and Harvey and Things

This might be my favorite time of year. There is a certain shade of green that appears in early spring...and right now that certain shade of green is everywhere. I love it! It just feels good to be outside!

Of course there are a few flowers blooming too.  I'm always happy to photograph wildflowers. Yellow flowers are the most challenging as their bright color is hard to capture. This pretty yellow flower came out well.

As you know, we are camping near a lake that usually has lots of duck. This year there are few, but Harvey the Goose is still here. Many years ago, Harvey broke his wing, so he cannot fly. Instead he wanders around the park and lets everyone know that he is the boss. Since he's a big goose with a wicked hiss, most folks are wise enough to heed his demands. Given that, I've never seen him attack anything more than a piece of bread.

Can't you just picture yourself taking a bike ride on this little country road? It's a good place to be right now.
